Burkina Faso is a landlocked country.
The territory in almost all the land is flat, three rivers crossing the entire country Black Volta (or Mouhoun), White Volta (Nakambé) and Red Volta (Nazinon).
Southern area presents forests and cultivated areas, central area is mainly savannah and northern part is semi-desert called Sahel.
